Requirements:
1. Aroma File Manager
2. A memory card for the device.
3. Your android device must be either locked by pattern lock or password lock.
Please note that this process requires your device to have an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery installed. Always remember to backup your data before making such changes to your device.
1. Download and Place Aroma File Manager on Your SD Card
- Download the Aroma File Manager ZIP package and place it in the root directory of your SD card
2. Enter Recovery Mode
- Reboot your Android device and press both the Power Key and Volume Up key simultaneously to enter Recovery Mode
3. Install Aroma File Manager
- In Recovery Mode, use the volume+ and volume- buttons to scroll up and down. To select an option, press the Power button or Home button.
- Click on "Install zip from SD Card" and navigate to where you placed the Aroma File Manager ZIP file. Click and install it
4. Configure Aroma File Manager
- After installing, Aroma File Manager will open in Recovery Mode. Navigate to Settings, go to the bottom, and click on "Automount All Devices On Start". Then exit
5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4
- Repeat the process of entering Recovery Mode and installing Aroma File Manager.
6. Navigate to the Key Files
- Once Aroma File Manager is open, navigate to the Data Folder, then the System Folder. Look for the files named "gesture.key" or "password.key", depending on whether your device uses a pattern lock or a password lock
7. Delete the Key File
- Delete either the "gesture.key" or "password.key" file, then exit Aroma File Manager and reboot your device
8. Unlock Your Device
- After rebooting, you might notice that the password or pattern hasn't been removed yet. Don't worry, though. Draw any random pattern on your device's lock screen, and it should unlock
